At present, there are several common processes for making prototypes: CNC prototype processing, 3D printing prototypes, silicone composite prototypes, sheet metal prototypes, low-pressure perfusion prototypes, and so on. The steps of CNC prototype processing technology are as follows:
1) Negotiate the CNC processing price and delivery date, and sign a processing contract.
2) Analyze parts drawings and product assembly drawings, and perform process analysis on parts.
3) Select the blank.
4) CNC prototype programming.
5) Determine the machining allowance of each process, calculate the size and tolerance of the process.
6) Determine the equipment and tools, fixtures, measuring tools and auxiliary tools used in each process.
7) Determine the cutting amount and working hour quota.
8) Determine the technical requirements and inspection methods of each main process.
9) Fill in the CNC prototype proofing process documents.
CNC prototype processing has the following advantages:
① No complicated tooling is required. If you want to change the shape and size of the part, you only need to modify the part processing program, which is suitable for new product development and modification.
②The prototype has stable processing quality, high processing precision and high repeatability, which can meet the processing requirements of high-precision products.
③In the case of mass production, the production efficiency is higher, which can reduce the time of production preparation, machine tool adjustment and process inspection.
④ It can process complex profiles that are difficult to process by conventional methods, and even process some unobservable processing parts.
